Borders plans to liquidate, ending 40-year-old bookstore chain

My favorite part is:

"Edwards said in a letter to employees that they can expect information later this week "regarding separation information, severance, benefits, and other resources for employees."

"You have my assurance that we will do whatever we can to help our employees through this transition," he wrote."

If this liquidation is anything like the first round of store closings from earlier this year, you will never hear anything from AA again, will get no severance, and you'll take an unhealthy amount of joy from marking the backs of the books the bottomfeeders buy.

To those of you who are about to experience the hell of liquidation, all of us who have gone through this already wish you the best of luck.
